Level 2 ASP, Port Stephens

The sparky who can workon the pole as well

Allpower Connections is a Level 2 accredited electrical business covering Port Stephens, Newcastle, Maitland and Cessnock. That accreditation means we handle the network side of your supply, the pole, the service line, the point of attachment and the meter, as well as every bit of normal electrical work inside the house.

What Level 2 actually means

Most electricians have to stop at the meter. We don't.

A Level 2 Accredited Service Provider is authorised to work on the network side of your property, the part that belongs to the electricity supplier rather than to you. A standard electrical contractor legally cannot touch it.

In practice that is the bit that causes the headaches. The private pole that has started to lean. The service line pulled off the house by a branch. The Ausgrid defect notice that arrives in the letterbox with a deadline on it. The disconnection your demolisher needs before a knockdown rebuild can start.

Allpower Connections is listed on the NSW Government's own register of Level 2 service providers, accredited for Class 2A, 2B and 2C work, and Tyler is a qualified high voltage cable joiner on top of that. So one phone call covers the pole, the connection, the meter and the wiring inside, instead of three trades pointing at each other.

New galvanised private pole in, old timber pole still standing beside it. The kind of job a defect notice asks for.

Network side

Level 2 work, done start to finish

Including the paperwork and the coordination with the supplier, which is usually the part nobody warns you about.

Private power poles

Replacing rotted or leaning private poles, including the ones Ausgrid issues a defect notice on. New galvanised pole, new point of attachment, paperwork handled.

Service connections

New and upgraded overhead and underground connections, point of attachment and point of connection changes, and consumer mains replacement.

Meters and metering

Meter box supply and installation, meter relocations, and additional metering for a granny flat or a second dwelling.

Disconnections and reconnections

Temporary and permanent disconnection for demolition or a knockdown rebuild, coordinated with your demolisher and your builder.

Underground mains

Trenching, conduit and underground consumer mains, laid and terminated to current standards.

High voltage cable jointing

Qualified high voltage cable joining, on top of the Level 2 accreditation.

Everything else

And all the normal electrical work too

Domestic and commercial. A single power point through to a full switchboard replacement, a bathroom fit-off, or high bay lighting across a shed.

A newly installed switchboard and meter panel with tidy wiring on a galvanised backing board

Switchboard upgrades

New switchboards, relocations, safety switches and a tidy board you can actually read. Often paired with a new meter box.

Lighting

Downlights inside and out, pendants, patio and facade lighting, garden lighting, and LED high bays for sheds and warehouses.

Fans and bathroom electrical

Ceiling fans, exhaust fans, heated towel rails, lit mirrors, and the fit-off on a bathroom renovation.

Power points

New points, relocations and upgrades throughout the house, including outdoor and shed circuits.

Fault finding

Something tripping the meter box, a dead circuit, a board that smells hot. Diagnosed, explained and fixed.

Solar fault finding

Lost power because of a solar system somebody else installed. Sorted, so you are not left waiting on the original installer.

Security cameras

Camera and CCTV installation, cabled and set up properly.

Commercial and new build

Factory and commercial sites, industrial metering and switchrooms, and new build work alongside your builder.

Power off, board tripping, or a notice in the letterbox?

The phone is answered around the clock, and same day attendance is normal rather than a favour. One customer had us out the same afternoon and working past 7pm to get his supply back on.

The business

Tyler Perrin, Allpower Connections

Tyler is a licensed electrician and high voltage cable joiner with more than fifteen years in the trade. He set Allpower Connections up in 2021 and runs it across Port Stephens, Newcastle, Maitland, Cessnock and the Hunter Valley, on domestic and commercial work alike.

It is a small team, and that is deliberate. Tyler is on the job rather than in an office, there is an apprentice being brought up through the business, and the same person who quotes the work is the one who turns up to do it.

What customers write about most often is not the wiring, it is the communication: a quote up front, no unnecessary work added on, the job explained in plain terms, and the site left clean. Fifty eight Google reviews, every single one of them five stars.

After receiving a defect notice from Ausgrid for an electricity pole, AllPower Connections took all the stress out of installation of a replacement. Tyler was clear with communication throughout, competitive pricing, but best of all prompt service and always on time. Would absolutely recommend to friends and family, and I am having him round to install some security cameras. Professional, clean work with straight up communication. Can be hard to find these days particularly in the electrical trade - truly 5*

He came out the same day I called, which was a huge help. He quickly diagnosed and fixed the issue with my PowerPoint that was causing the meter box to trip. He was friendly, professional, and took the time to explain what the problem was. The repair was completed within an hour, and he cleaned up everything before he left. Excellent service from start to finish.

I recently lost power due to an issue with my solar system installed by a different company. Tyler came out to help us that same day, he stayed until 7pm to get everything back online for us working through dark. His work is always top quality, I honestly can't recommend him highly enough.

I recently had work carried out by Tyler @ Allpower Connections to replace the current meter box, install a compete new switch board with additional meter box and power for a granny flat. Tyler's communication and service was nothing but top rate. He went above and beyond to accommodate my needs and time-lines to ensure everything was completed when required.

Recently the electricity point of attachment to my home was dislodged due to an unfortunate situation. Ausgrid temporarily reattached it for electricity supply. After recommendation I contacted Tyler who replied promptly by providing me with a quote and a time frame which he kept his word to. The job was done with great workmanship and it provided me with the confidence to know that the connection was now sound and at current standards.

Tyler first visited my premises to quote some electrical work, install 7 ceiling fans, an exhaust fan to the powder room, and some downlights for our patio. He attended to complete the work, which was all done in a friendly and professional manner. The work was finished in a day and all very neat and operating efficiently.
